The Consumer Market Analyst role will have a specific focus on Consumer Semiconductor IC market segment dynamics. This position assesses packaging, technology, ecosystem dynamics, application growth across key Consumer Product domains such as Wearables, Hearables, Fitness and IoT. Support Amkor’s Marketing, Sales, Business Units and Executives with market updates and data analytics. The ideal candidate will be based at the Tempe, AZ Amkor headquarters.

  • Consumer semiconductor industry research to size and assess evolving total addressable market (TAM), Packaging and Technology trends in areas such as Wearables, Hearables, Fitness and IoT
  • Develop a cohesive Ecosystem and supply chain view for Connectivity, MCU, Sensor, PMIC and other key semiconductor IC functions
  • Consolidate and analyze Consumer market data to validate Ecosystem and continually track global supply chain dynamics
  • Collaborate with applicable Product Lines and Sales teams to ensure awareness of key industry trends and opportunities
  • Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative market, customer and competitor data, trends and strategies into reportable formats
  • Track emerging technologies, applications and emerging uses cases, translate industry developments into a risk and/or new business opportunity (NBO)
  • Perform reliable and consistent market research SWOT analysis
  • Provide competitive analysis on various company’s market offerings and product roadmaps

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s degree) in engineering, business, marketing strategy, analytics, economics, or similar
  • Experience in consulting, industry analytics, product management, product strategy or investment research
  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative market research skills, including but not limited to data analysis, competitive intelligence, data synthesis, SWOT analysis, and data driven recommendations
  • Knowledge of the Semiconductor and/or OSAT industry is a must
  • Self-manage multiple projects and requests while adhering to specified timelines & diverse parameters
  •  Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) is a plus.
  • Proactive thinker with a proven ability to translate technical requirements/issues into business context is desired.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets is desired.
  •  Strong leadership and communication skills are preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Experience working in organizations with cross-functional teams is desired.
  •  Experience multi-tasking and adapting well to a changing environment is preferred.
  • Analytical thinker with strong research proficiencies is desired.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior is desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing programs and strategies is preferred.
