The objective of the PhD research work is to derive methods to generate a super element suitable for dynamics analyses in the case of a finite element model consisting of at least 2 different physics. Equations in this case are possibly unsymmetric with possible time order difference between structural degrees of freedom and non-structural degrees of freedom.

Non-structural degree of freedom can be the pressure in a fluid structure interaction problem. It may also be the voltage in a piezoelectric one.

Evaluation of those methods will be based on their robustness, accuracy as well as performance for both the generation and the expansion of the super element to obtain the solution. The extension of the Component Mode Synthesis method (CMS) will be considered.
