Cree | Wolfspeed’s Global Operations is seeking a Test Engineer to join the team. The engineer chosen for this position will be a key member within Cree’s Global Operations Team.  The engineer will be part of a sustaining / development team responsible for semiconductor testing of RF devices on multiple platforms.

What can you do for Cree | Wolfspeed?

  • Sustain and improve RF backend test by working with a diverse team with a mission to support a high-volume / high mix compound semiconductor testing.
  • Organize and manage projects that positively impact costs and product yields while maintaining both near and long-term roadmaps.
  • Participate in strategic planning including RF test tool selection and test development.
  • Partner with product engineering, yield engineering, and R&D to ensure effective new product and process introductions as well as consistent device performance and quality.
  • Interface with equipment engineering, management, and manufacturing to improve cycle time, tool
  • availability, process/product yield, and drive cost reductions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you need for success:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science Engineering, or Equivalent 10+ yrs Wafer Fab Experience
  • 5+yrs RF device test experience
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
  • Working knowledge of applied statistics (SPC/DOE) and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 whys, and DMAIC.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
