CyberOptics is a global market leader in wireless semiconductor measurement devices for semiconductor tool set-up and maintenance. Shaped like wafers and reticles, the current measurement devices are used for chamber gapping, leveling, wafer handoff teaching, vibration, humidity, and airborne particle measurement. This position will be responsible for technology evaluation of commercial sensors, development of novel sensors, sensor integration into new products, and design of production processes to maximize performance of the measurement devices. This position reports to the Vice President of Research and Development.

Core Responsibilities
· Analyze customer requirements to determine product and subsystem specifications

· Survey and selection of appropriate sensing technologies

· Identification and evaluation of commercial sensors

· Development of novel sensor technologies where appropriate

· Development of calibration and compensation methods to improve sensor performance

· Prototype design, assembly, and test

· Generate project documentation, including specifications, interfaces and application notes

· Development of new production processes

· Legacy product and production support
