Job description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The scope of the role encompasses customer facing quality with an emphasis on issue resolution and problem solving, using quality tools familiar to the industries our products serve. Requires the ability to work closely with Operations and R&D on customer quality issues as well as focus on continuous improvement on our internal operational excellence. Strong leadership and ability to effectively direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

·        Develop relationships with key customers and employees to ensure complete understanding of issues, requirements and developing opportunities

·        Act as liaison between customer and internal functional groups regarding reports and requirements to and from customer

·        Drive resolution of excursions at customers and ensure identification of the root cause and appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence

·        Provide metrics regarding completion of CAPA’s, Customer Complaints, and Action Items assigned to the organization to ensure timely and needed actions are completed

·        Support process engineering functions (i.e. SPC, specifications, gage studies, etc.) as assigned

·        Assist in development of control plans/ limits, SPC requirements as well as white papers, process control systems, metrology systems analysis, continuous improvement plans, CARs and PARs

Preferred candidates will posses:

·        A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science

·        5 – 10 years of previous work experience, semiconductor, optical or medical industry a plus

·        Good working knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC)

·        Experience with problem solving tools such as 8-D, Fishbone, 5-Why, etc.

·        Experience with Quality Systems Auditing

·        Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, Minitab, JMP or equivalent SPC

·        Ability to travel up to 15% may be required
