Responsibilities:
In this role successful candidates will be responsible for:
Perform research in the field of VUV and EUV thin-film optical coatings.
Establishing an understanding of key characteristics and limitations of various thin-film deposition methods for different optical thin-film coatings.
Interface with simulations based on multiple physical models and build correlations with experimental data.
Analyze and interpret thin-film characterization measurements.
Interface with vendors for optical thin-film coatings.
Prepare requirement specification documents for thin-film coating vendors.
Qualification of contamination levels of systems and components.
Execution of multi-disciplinary experiments.
Preparation of detailed test plans and summary reports.
Coordination and performing root cause analysis to solve problems.
Interfacing closely with engineering and the physics modeling team.
