The RAPID division is the leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. We provide inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high, enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

 

The Manufacturing Design Engineer will work on problems of diverse scope in support of manufacturing, new production introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement projects (CIP).

Responsible for the defining and supporting incoming quality process of precision optics modules and its integration into a high-resolution imaging system.
Interact with Systems, Optics and Software Engineers to resolve manufacturing issues. Provide training to Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
Develop, implement and maintain best known methods in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
Develop documentation to support design for manufacturability (DfM). Train and collaborate with technicians to solve sophisticated issues through unambiguous plan of actions (POA).
Analyze manufacturing data from a manufacturing enterprise software (MES) via statistical process control to drive process, specification and design improvements.
Perform failure analysis and implement corrective action. Document and present analysis to technical teams within KLA and at suppliers.
Setup and drive small multi-functional team efforts that address product-level optics systems issues in manufacturing.
Read and interpret design drawings, schematics, and perform simple updates of models or drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) tools. Interpret some system models of error, sensitivity, or throughput budgets.
Potential travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
