Internship assisting the Lam Albany NY R&D process etch and deposition teams for advanced technology nodes in logic applications.  Job requirement includes assisting with investigation of new etch schemes, testing etch chemistry, development or modification of process formulations, and reviewing processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of advanced structures. Assists in compiling and evaluating test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Assists with execution of projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.

This is a year round position at 4 hrs/day Monday-Friday.


Must be a student local to the Albany NY area and currently working towards a PhD in engineering or science with emphasis in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or Physics.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and an ability to quickly adapt to new projects.

Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving, influence, teamwork, business partnering and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Outstanding presentation skills.

The ability to deliver results in a dynamic, cross functional, team-oriented environment.

A genuine interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn.
