This candidate will be responsible for performing professional engineering research and evaluation in support of the company’s complex semiconductor capital equipment while interacting closely with Lam’s electrostatic chuck (ESC) suppliers. The ideal candidate will play an active role managing ESC projects and products relative to supplier manufacturing development, quality initiatives, supplier selection, problem solving as well as designing and conducting independent experiments and tests. Project management duties include working with cross-functional teams consisting of supply business management, engineering, manufacturing, field service and suppliers to provide feedback and requirements during ESC development through to production release. Candidates need to exhibit excellent problem solving skills: defining the problem, identify objectives, assessing risk, develop approach, analyze results and provide recommendations. Ideal candidate will direct and manage manufacturing process/quality implementation of required changes and modifications that include a variety of processes such as metal machining, adhesive bonding, ceramic material production and grinding as well as anodize and plasma coating.

You must have strong leadership and communication skills and a demonstrated passion for improvement. Teamwork, analytical skills, project management, and the ability to develop and deliver training are other required skills in your toolbox. The ideal candidate will have experience improving both Semiconductor Fabrication and Semiconductor Equipment operations.
