Job description

Primary responsibility is to manage a team of materials program and project managers through all stages of product development from R&D to Volume manufacturing to ensure PDR deliverables are completed with high quality and within programs timeline.

Specific responsibilities:

Work in a cross functional team environment  within a matrix organization with internal customers, including high level executives

Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for all escalations from product group to supply chain, liaison between Engineering/ product management and supply chain functional organizations

Hire, train and manage Materials Program and project managers for NPI programs

Responsible for organizational and individual development of all direct reports within Lam’s performance management program

MPM PDR deliverables

–Develop cost reductions roadmaps in order to meet product cost targets
–Work with Supply Chain on developing sourcing strategies and sourcing plans in order to meet cost and lead time targets

Volume transition deliverables (from Pilot to Volume)

–Suppliers ramp readiness assessment
–Critical parts management
–Lead time reduction and mitigation plans

Project services management

-Performance meets on-time material deliveries to engineering need dates and drop dead date for Pilot manufacturing

-ECR communication, buyer assignments for new parts, first article status for critical parts before shipments
-Material logistics and shipments completion for Pilot builds


Skills and knowledge required

Individual should demonstrate leadership skills, strategic thinking and attention to details for everyday tactical execution
Need to be able to demonstrate excellent people and presentation skills
Program management experience is a must
Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities as related to cost structure
Supply chain knowledge, especially for critical commodities as related to sourcing decisions and cost strategies
Technical background, preferably in semiconductor industry and Etch equipment product knowledge is a plus


Bachelor degree in engineering,  or any related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
