Role Overview

The person in this position will be the primary contact for all technology and business development activities for some of the most recognized technical companies in the world.

You will be responsible for development of new or modified process formulations, definition of processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, review of processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of semiconductors working collaboratively with a regional account team, customer contacts and various functional groups within Product and Technology Group.

The person will work to effectively communicate and champion customer needs (internally) and business unit goals (externally).  This is an extremely important role for the company as you will be the key contributor to overall account strategy and success from a technology and business perspective.

 

Typical roles include leading technology evaluation and proliferation teams, championing new product introductions including development and implementation while being responsible for understanding our competitive position for all key metrics used by customers for equipment selection.

Additionally, you will analyze customer technology trends and requirements and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation. This position is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Account involving technical and customer management so getting Account Team and Customer trust through responsiveness and delivering per commit is critical.

 

Role & Responsibilities

Strategic focus; Maintain detailed knowledge of customer process flows
Continually maintain an analysis of customer flow to identify opportunities for Lam to add value to the customer
Develop strategy and tactics with Marketing, Business Development penetration and defense activities
Align strategies and tactics with marketing, business development, product managers, program managers, and PL head.  Primarily through bimonthly review (TTR update); but should be on as needed basis; Execute plans successfully
Initiate and manage JDP programs which mutually benefit Lam and the customer
Co-ordinate and be involved in demo and productivity activity in Fremont relating to the customer; may include running the demo or reviewing results w/demo engineer
Penetration of new applications; defense of existing applications
Development of new technology; Alignment with production owner
Ensure successful qualification of applications at customer site
