Responsible for management of fixture teams’ strategic vision and project execution as well as day to day support of manufacturing’s tooling and fixturing needs. Prioritization of new fixture request as well as troubleshooting complicated issues and escalate situations through proper paths. Complete employee performance reviews ensuring criteria are met for promotions or terminations. Attend meetings and write correspondence with management, engineers, and vendors, to meet project goals as well as factory needs. Drive execution and accountability through strong leadership practices and relationship building with other teams supporting the factory.

Safety Protocol:

Investigate and document accidents by generating incident reports in EHS site and initiate meetings on corrective action.
Address afety related issues and enforcing written policies; Inspect and monitor work area by completing RMBWA’s and entering data in EHS website.
Ensure employees are current and up to date on required training.
Tooling / Fixturing Engineering Supervisory Tasks:

Addressing fixture down issues to keep manufacturing up and running. Root cause the issue and implement fixes to eliminate failure modes.
Execute fixture PM program across the factory, continually addressing failure points in efforts to reduce failure modes.
Evaluate new tooling/fixture requests for cost/benefit. Align resources to issues through closed loop communication and project management fundamentals.
Drive fixture design reviews, constantly improving the team’s execution and release of new fixtures.
Partner with other support teams to ensure fixture uses are documented in factory MES system and all safety concerns are mitigated
Work with overseas support team to increase productivity of onsite team. Provide clear problem statements and design expectation to enable successful remote support of the factory.
Drive a holistic approach to tooling and fixturing across the factory aligning new product introduction with methods and BKM’s currently used in the factory. Needs of new products must be holistically evaluated and implemented across factory as much as possible.
Work to continuously innovate tooling and fixturing across the factory, driving improved safety and efficiency across the manufacturing floor.
