Job Duties

The successful applicant for this position on Sourcery Tools team in the Mentor Embedded Platform Solutions (EPS) group will apply their technical skills and previous work experience in compiler development to cutting edge compiler projects targeting systems ranging from embedded devices at the IoT Edge to Exascale supercomputers. The successful applicant will have experience developing compiler toolchains for a variety of computer architectures including experience with high performance architectures, hardware accelerators and heterogeneous computing. The successful applicant must be able to work independently with a remote team distributed geographically and must also be a strong team player able to provide technical leadership for project teams and technical guidance to less experienced team members. The successful applicant will also help promote Sourcery Tools team toolchain services via technical papers, webinars, presentations and workshops and by developing customer relationships in collaboration with the Mentor sales force.

Job Qualifications

MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
At least 10 + years of industry experience
Compiler development experience, especially with open source toolchains such as LLVM or GCC
Ability to work independently with a geographically distributed team
Strong Technical Leadership skills
Team player
Good communication and presentations skills
Ability to travel
C/C++ software development experience
Experience with embedded system development including bare metal, embedded Linux, open source toolchains and related tools and development workflows is a plus
Familiarity with processor and accelerator architectures including CPUs, GPU and FPGAs is a plus
Familiarity with Fortran, OpenACC and OpenMP is a plus
Familiarity with AI / machine learning a plus
