We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join a dynamic team working to build next generation systems with sophisticated mechanical/electrical/optical/software components. This position provides advanced application support internally and directly to customers in the semiconductor industry.

 

Become a Subject Matter Expert on Onto Innovation’s NovusEdge products
Work as an integral part of the Engineering team in the development of new equipment and sustaining existing equipment.

Perform experiments, tests and studies, and/or analytical investigations and provide clear and meaningful results and analysis.

Work in collaboration with a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop engineering designs/solutions from initial POC to onsite customer implementations.

Develop system requirements that meet customer requirements and product definitions provided by other departments.

Assist in developing and executing system level test plans to validate that the engineering designs meet requirements.

Compile and assist in the presentation of test data collected during design validations to a peer group of engineers.

Assist in developing integration plans identifying timelines, resources and equipment requirements to integrate engineering designs into higher level products.

Contribute to documentation for use in the manufacture, installation, technical support and training related to the final design.

Contribute design documentation to support compliance evaluations needed to meet industry regulations such as CE, SEMI, ISO, OSHA and NFPA.

Support engineering products through entire life cycle including; assist in installation at customer site, assist in product upgrades and improvements, support of service escalations and product EOL.

5 or more years of relevant experience.

Experience with Semiconductor capital equipment, optical systems, laser scatterometry, firmware, safety systems and/or electronics is a strong plus

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (≤ 15%)

Ability to gather and analyze data and then create clear reports and presentations

Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential hardware or software performance issues

Able to efficiently gain expertise on products in a fast-paced environment

Good organization and planning skills
