Ansys

The R&D Verification Engineer II joins the Electronics and Semiconductor Business Unit to conduct software testing of ANSYS applications such as OpticStudio.  This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied.  The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issues.

The R&D Verification Engineer is responsible for increasing the stability and robustness of our flagship product OpticStudio and of all add-in modules to OpticStudio through detailed testing of the code architecture, user interface, and core calculations for these software packages. This individual is expected to conduct both programmatic testing – by writing their own test code – and manual testing, with a strong emphasis on the former. They are also expected to contribute to the creation of comprehensive test plans for key new value propositions being added to OpticStudio and its add-in modules. To be successful in the role, the verification engineer should have a strong foundation in software testing and a solid foundation in software programming – ideally C++ and C#.
