Tokyo Electron (TEL)

Responsibilities:
– Lead the optical architecture design and development for a state-of-the-art metrology system for semiconductor industry
– Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
– Understand market requirements, including performance, cost, and development time constraints, follow DfX and PLM (product-lifecycle management) design process

– Develop light throughput & system error budget, help select overall system configuration, generate system and subsystem design specifications, review engineering specs and get buy-in from team members and management

– Conduct feasibility and detailed design studies, build and conduct experiments on lab test benches and prototypes, retire technical risks in agreement with DfX and PLM

– Generate optical system and subsystem designs in Zemax or Code V, perform optimization and tolerances analysis, generate appropriate reports, conduct design reviews, and transfer optical designs to mechanical engineers

– Examples of optical systems do develop may include, but are not limited to: sensors for film thickness and wafer pattern CD measurements, imaging pattern recognition, auto-focus and surface height tracking, confocal, interferometric, dark-field and bright-field microscopes

– Assemble and debug final prototypes, drive alpha & beta tests and product release; perform product CIP and handle customer escalations to help successfully deliver to market the next generation of TEL semiconductor capital equipment products
