We’re looking for passionate top-performers to join us at our fab facilities in New York as we qualify toolsets and design a 480,000 square-foot fab with over 100,000 square-feet of clean room space.  If you want to be a pioneer with one of the most pivotal technologies of our time, Silicon Carbide, then you’re looking in the right place.


The primary focus of this position is to drive yield improvement on existing and new products, technologies, and processes in Cree’s state of the art, highly automated, SiC Wafer Fab.  A successful candidate will take inline inspection and test data to drive improvements in the process and continuous quality improvement.  This position will be expected to lead a group of Yield Engineers working cross-functionally in the Wafer Fab driving yield improvement roadmaps.

What can you do for Cree Wolfspeed?

Analyze data using sound statistical methodology to drive improvements and recommendations to operations of process engineering
Take leadership role to establish relationships between multiple manufacturing sites and engineering departments to drive yield enhancements.
Implement in-line defect reduction strategy, and use test yield loss paretos to drive yield enhancement projects
Present technical data to internal management describing yield performance and improvement plans
Travel occasionally to various manufacturing sites and vendor sites to drive and maintain yield improvement methodology
Challenge the team to drive best in class yield through methodical problem solving and yield improvement programs.
