Job Summary

Wolfspeed is looking for a highly motivated, independent, and resourceful Process Technician to support the Power & RF Epitaxy department. The primary purpose of this role is to support the production of clean, high-quality SiC wafers. Employee will assume ownership of end of line dispositioning of non-standard product, assist in training and certifications of operations team in this area, work with engineering team on improved visual inspection techniques, and participate in process development and continuous improvement efforts.

 

*This position is expected to work a 12-hour night shift

What can you do for Wolfspeed?

Assumes ownership of non-conforming material dispositions and serve as the first point of contact for all shipping related process issues
Provide technical assistance to Operations, Process Engineering, Process Development, and R&D groups for Wolfspeed MES processing
Perform calibrations and tool checks for Auto Visual Inspection and cleaning tools
Perform quality audit checks of operations manual inspection process
Take on project work supporting the efforts of the departmental engineers
Create and analyze basic statistical process control charts
What you need for success:

0-2 years semiconductor manufacturing experience
High school diploma or GED required
Very strong attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communications skills
High energy, self-motivated attitude
Capable of handling 15lb components
Ability to work in a clean room environment
Highly preferred skills and certifications:

AA or BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
Knowledge/experience with CreeMES
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Prior experience in quality control
