Model-driven system design
popularity

Description

Model-driven system design, architecture exploration and specification distribution solution for the electronics, semiconductor and embedded software industry.
VisualSim is the graphical modeling and simulation software for the rapid exploration of architectures to optimize the product specification for functionality, power and performance. Using prebuilt modeling libraries in VisualSim, engineers assemble models of their proposed system in a graphical editor. Users’ instantiate pre-defined analysis reports in the model and schedule simulation experiments over a wide-range of attribute values. The output reports provide recommendations that are used by the designers to arrive at a system specification that is optimized to meet performance requirements at the right price, weight, reliability and energy consumed. VisualSim is used by Systems Engineers, Architects, Software Designers and Program Managers.

VisualSim uses the Ptolemy simulation kernel from the University of California at Berkeley.
