Amkor Technology is hiring an Engineer for the Business Solution Group based at the corporate headquarters in Tempe, AZ. This role supports analytics, process improvements, and strategic focus for company initiatives. This position will work closely with all the product line leaders to identify and drive creative approaches and recommendations to grow revenue and profitability.
• Assists in business analysis, including development of pricing strategies to fill empty assets
• Collaborates in the assessment of new opportunities alongside the business owner
• Actively engages in identifying opportunities for revenue recovery and develop strategies to appropriately address them
• Enforces process adherence and data maintenance expectations, including proper administrative controls
• Develop relationships with Factory, Sales and Business Units to ensure alignment with industry and customer trends
Required Qualifications:
• BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Management; Industrial Engineering preferred
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and cost structures, including ability to understand product cost modeling
• Results driven, with the ability to work independently or in a collaborative setting
• Good communication and presentation skills, including cross-functional and cross-culturally
• Must be highly organized, with a keen attention to detail to successfully manage projects
• Knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint), as well as different data analysis tools
• Must be flexible to travel up to 5% of the time domestically and/or internationally
• Relevant experience and/or familiarity with semiconductor packaging; alternatively technical or business exposure in manufacturing is a plus
• Familiarity with an ERP system (SAP preferred) and/or Statistical Process Control (JMP) is desired
• Adaptable and fast learner is preferred
