The Meshing Development Unit (MDU) is seeking a R&D Engineer II to develop start-of-the-art surface and volume mesh generation methods with the (multi-)GPU as the primary target platform. Of particular interest are boundary layer and thin volume meshing algorithms with application to finite elements and finite volume methods. Experience from the development of higher order mesh generation methods, as well as knowledge of highly efficient surface and volume mesh optimization algorithms are desirable. Another area of interesit is quadrilateral mesh generation. The background and interest of the successful applicant will be considered for work assignments. It is expected that the successful candidate has an analytical mind and a strong interest in computational geometry and applied mathematics. This role requires engagement in all stages of code and capability planning, research, creation and evolution of meshing functionalities.
