Amit Mehrotra was a Founder and Chief Technology Officer for Berkeley Design Automation, which was acquired by Mentor in 2014.
Mehrotra received his B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur in 1994, and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a research assistant professor with the Illinois Center for Integrated Micro-Systems group at the Coordinated Science Laboratory of the university.
