In 2004 Flatt founded Hardware Compilers LLC, which offers a tool called Discrete Time Compiler. The product compiles M-functions from a Matlab tool box and turns them into Simulink models for Altera Corp.’s DSP Builder and Xilinx Inc.’s System Generator products.
In 1992, Flatt founded Metamor, a one person VHDL synthesis company. Protel acquired it in 2000.
Flatt helped launch Logic Automation in 1986.
