Description

Jason Cong was a co-founder and the Chief Technology Advisor of AutoESL Design Technologies until its acquisition by Xilinx in 2011.
He was the founder and president of Aplus Design Technologies, Inc., until it was acquired by Magma in 2003.

Cong holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Peking University, M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Chancellor’s Professor at the Computer Science Department of University of California, Los Angeles, Associate Vice Provost for Internationalization, director of Center for Domain-Specific Computing, co-director of UCLA/Peking University Joint Research Institute in Science and Engineering, and co-director of the VLSI CAD Laboratory. He also served as the department chair from 2005 to 2008.
