He has served as an architect, director or consultant to several companies including Cadence and Synopsys.
In 1986, he was a founder of EDA Systems and served as their VP Engineering until they were acquired by DEC in 1990.
His early career was spent at Daisy Systems and Calma.
Brouwers holds a Dipl.-Ing., Electrical Engineering from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen.
