Description

Mark Templeton died Sunday July 17 2016 in a kayaking accident on the Rogue River in Oregon.
Since 2006, Templeton has served on the board of several technology companies and in 2008 started Scientific Ventures LLC as a venture company and advisory firm specializing in the application of science and technology to new business concepts and new business models.

Mark Templeton founded Artisan Components in 1991 and served as their President, Chief Executive Officer and Director until they were acquired by ARM Holdings in 2004. At ARM he held the title of President for ARM North America & Chief Strategy Officer.

Prior to that, Templeton held various positions with Silicon Compilers Systems Corporation, with the last position being Director of the Custom IC Design Group. Silicon Compiler was acquired by Mentor Graphics in 1990 where he served as Director of the Custom IC Design Group.

Templeton held a BS in engineering from Boston University
