Robi Dutta was Chairman of Rio Design Automation before it was acquired by Magma.
Dutta was a founder of Everest Design Automation in 1997, After the acquisition of Everest by Synopsys in 1998, Dutta was vice president of engineering at Synopsys, leading a research and development team in various aspects of very large scale integration (VLSI) physical design until 2003.
Dutta worked for Alcan, Bell-Northern Research, Digital Equipment Corp., and SGI.
Dutta holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal on a fellowship from the National Research Council of Canada.
