In 1997 Prasad became president and chief executive officer of Castelle.
He has been a consultant to GTE Corp., a mentor to entrepreneurs, and a private investor in several high-technology start-up companies.
Prasad was a cofounder and general manager of Personal CAD Systems Inc. (P-CAD), where he served in marketing, engineering and general management capacities.
Prior to P-CAD, Prasad held engineering management positions at Gould/American Microsystems Inc. and Indian Telephones Industries Ltd.
