Keysight Technologies is a supplier of EDA, emulation, and test solutions, supporting the entire development lifecycle from design, simulation, and prototype validation to automated software testing, manufacturing analysis, and network performance optimization.
The company serves a broad range of industries including communications, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, semiconductor, and general electronics. Keysight reported revenues of approximately $5.0 billion in 2024, reflecting its focus on next-generation technologies such as 5G/6G, quantum computing, AI-driven data centers, and electric/autonomous vehicles.
Keysight’s history goes back to Hewlett-Packard, which began making oscilloscopes in 1938 and expanded to spectrum analyzers and other test and measurement equipment through the following decades. In 1999, HP spun out Agilent Technologies, consisting of HP’s former measurement, components, chemical analysis, and medical businesses. HP retained its computer and printer businesses. The new company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
In August 2014, Agilent spun out its electronic measurement segment, creating Keysight Technologies. Agilent remained focused on chemical analysis and life sciences. Keysight (KEYS) listed on NYSE in November 2014.
