Description

Open Verilog International (OVI) was founded in 1990 to support and extend the Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL). It merged with VHDL International (VI) in 2000 to become Accellera.

Verilog HDL became IEEE standard number 1364 in December, 1995.

Invention: Open Verilog International invented Verilog-AMS in 1998. While Verilog-A was standardized in 1996, it was not a full integration.
