SX series of turnkey systems dedicated to electronic circuit simulation. The systems accurately simulate IC performance 100 times faster than a VAX-11/780 running SPICE2, and twice as fast as a similarly equipped Cray-I supercomputer, according to the company.
The SX series incorporates Power-SPICE, a circuit simulation software package that uses advanced multilevel relaxation algorithms to ensure convergence and fast simulations; SPICEngine, a proprietary accelerator hardware that speeds up the computation-intensive portions of PowerSPICE; and multiple National Semiconductor 32032 processors running in parallel.
