Description

Wavetek owns an advanced III-V manufacturing process and facility. They provide GaAs MMICs (Monolithic Microwave ICs) and RFIC (Radio-frequency ICs) for commercial applications, as well as III-V CPV (Concentrated Photovoltaic) cell chips for the field of renewable energy.
Wavetek supplies foundry services to global design houses and IDM partners using III-V processes for their ICs.

As of March 31, 2013, Wavetek operates as a subsidiary of United Microelectronics Corporation. They acquired UMC Fab 6A’s fixed assets and all 6 inch Silicon-based CMOS product lines in April, 2015.
