Description

David Overhauser is Principal of Overhauser Li Consulting and provides technical and strategic consulting services in the areas of Electronic Design Automation and Design For Manufacturability.
In 1995, he founded Simplex Solutions (now Cadence). He developed the VoltageStorm and Fire&Ice products as the Vice President of Engineering at Cadence. At Cadence he was the Senior Architect in Cadence Design Systems’ DFM business unit.

He worked for Texas Instruments, AT&T Bell Laboratories, and IBM. He founded the Design Automation Technology Center at Duke University. From 1989 to 1995, Dr. Overhauser was the Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University.

Overhauser holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989 and 1985, respectively. He holds a B.S. in Math and Computer Sciences from Purdue University in 1983.
