In 1984 Morris founded Logic Automation in Beaverton, Oregon that was sold for $120M in 1994 to Synopsys, Inc. Morris subsequently co-founded Prototype Solutions and Simutech, LLC, both of which researched and developed high performance, rapid prototyping technology for System on a Chip design. The results of these efforts are core to several successful commercial products on the market today.
More recently, Morris was working to launch GlobalRaptor, a Nikiski, Alaska, company to develop unmanned aerial vehicles.
Morris developed the original FIRMS software an integrated, hospitality business management system.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Morris was a staff engineer with Intel Corporation, an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University, and a staff scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Morris holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a BS in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Texas at Austin.
