James Barnett was a founder of Xilinx in 1984. Before founding Xilinx he was with Zilog.
His early career was spent at Fairchild Semiconductor, Raytheon Semiconductor, American Microsystems, Ness Time, and Zilog Semiconductor.
Barnett holds a BS in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois from 1967.
