Description

Edward Evans was a Director of Engineering for the Logic Modeling Group of Synopsys. He was previously a Vice President of Engineering at Logic Modeling Corporation (LMC). At LMC, he and his group developed a VHDL standard component model library based on automatic code generation tools to build standard model structures

Evans was also the general manager of the VHDL simulation division at OrCAD, the CEO of Quadtree Software, which produced behavioral simulation models, and founder and CEO of Silicon West, an ASIC development and simulation model consulting company.

Evans is a full professor at California State University, Long Beach, where for 27 years he has taught VLSI design, microprocessor design, and computer architecture classes at the senior and graduate levels.

Evans holds a BS in Physics from the University of California at Berkley, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Irvine.
