ASE is the largest of the Big Three OSATs (providers of outsourced semiconductor assembly and test). The company was founded in 1984 and provides fan-out wafer-level packaging, wafer-level chip-scale packaging, flip chip, 2.5D, 3D, system-in-package and copper wire bonding.
