Finance Particle, the provider of a full-stack Internet of Things device platform for enterprises, has raised $20 million in Series B funding, bringing its total venture funding to $30 million. Applied Materials announced its fiscal Q3 results. Net sales for the quarter were $2.27 billion compared with $1.98 billion in the same period in 2013, a 15% increase. Net income was $301 million for the period, compared with $168 million in 2013. On a non-GAAP basis, net income was $349 million, compared with $222 million in Q3 2013.
